Um, hey all. As usual, I forget to post. Ooooh well.



I went to the Warped Tour on Friday with Jemma and Heather. It was fun and kind of not fun. If that makes sense? I nearly got killed during My Chemical Romance. >< I managed to push my way up to the very front, and lost Jemma and Heather a bit behind me. When the guys came out on to stage everyone went nuts and rushed forward. Huge groups of people were falling, girls were crying to get out, people were crowd-surfing and pushing my head down and it was so fucking hot. When my feet were no longer touching the ground because people were so tightly packed, I thought, "Um, never mind this." Gerard was a couple of feet in front of me, but it was hard to concentrate on anything but not dying. So I asked the guy next to me to lift me up and he handed to me a security guy at the front. The great part about this -- they put me right to the side of the stage to rest -- where I had a great view for the rest of their set. Mmmmm... Gerard looks so damn fine in person. I know, it's all about the music, etc. But DAMN. He's quite amazing in all his glory. The whole band is really a live band more than anything. Sure they have cinematic videos, and stuff, but their live energy is great. Frank is insane and rolls all over the place, Gerard really really expresses the lyrics with his facial expressions - it's a bit funny sometimes, but in the end, really cool. Now... Mikey... dude, move a little. Haha I also liked Gerard's little speech.

"If a band says you need to show them your tits to get backstage, that's fucked up. You know what, girls? Do this *raises his middle finger* and say, "FUCK YOU." With me now, everyone. "Fuck you!""

And so began the 'fuck you' chant. Gerard really seems to be feeling women's rights... ^^;; MCR was great, but I was exhausted and couldn't walk after they finished. So Jemmy, Heather, and I went and sat back against this fence. And lo-and-behold... who's walking toward us? MCR, of course, sans Gerard (probably primping?) First Bob and Ray, so I yell out, "Hey! You guys were awesome!" Bob gives a wave, Ray smiles with a thanks. Then Frank and Mikey come walking out as well, and Jemma yells, "MIKEY I LOVE YOU!" It was so funny! Mikey tried to hide behind Frank and was all like "Thanks" in a really shy way, and then pumped his fist like 'yeah!'. Jemma totally made him blush, it was hilarious. I felt the need to speak to Frank and Mikey too. So, I say, "You were great. I almost died, but it was totally worth it!" Ray laughs at this, and Mikey and Frank smile again. With some byes and waves, they then headed on their way :) I wonder if anyone else even noticed that they were just walking around? We didn't want to attract to much attention to them by going "OMFG!! IT'S MCR!!!" and like snapping pics and stuff ~_~;; It was cool though =D And Mikey is soooo tiny!

Anyway, we ran into Mason right before Fall Out Boy and only got to talk with him a bit, but it was nice to see him. Much love for Mason!! XD

So we headed to see Fall Out Boy and we found a nice cozy spot under a tree, which was close, but kept us out of the pit... after MCR, I'd had enough of that, thanks. So we're screaming along happily to the lyrics and thinking that Patrick is sitting down on stage... but he's standing. He's just hella short. Pete is a total crowd whore, he's all over the place, getting close to the fans, climbing on speakers, amps, whatever. Fall Out Boy was awesome, too. Maybe even better than MCR. Maybe. Haha. I think I fell in love with them all over again. They're so talented. Anyway, I got the crowd-surfing itch -_-;; So I went and found a big old guy at the back of the crowd 'cause it was too tightly packed to get inside, and I surfed right up to the front, where I happily landed and finished out the Fall Out Boy set. =) It was a blast. When it was done, Andy threw his drumsticks and I caught one! XD I wrestled six guys for it, and won. Most gave up 'cause I was the only chick holding onto it, but two refused to stop, and I ended up in the mud with them. I got it though, and they all shook my hand at the end. It was hilarious. XD

We were exhausted by then, so we headed home, but it was so much fun! XD Ahhhhhh, I want to go back! MCR and FOB were the ones we were dying to see, but we also caught some of Regie and the Full Effect, MXPX, the Offspring, Saosin, and a bunch of local bands. Sadly, we didn't make it to Hawthorne Heights, All American Rejects, or really any band after 5:00. Ooooh well. Good times =D
